1. License grant
After valid purchase and activation, the licensor grants one named user a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use FFideo 1.x for personal or commercial work on up to three Macs owned by or assigned exclusively to that user. An organization needs one license for each employee or contractor who uses FFideo.
The license is perpetual for FFideo 1.x and includes updates released within the 1.x series. A future major version may require a separate optional purchase. No subscription is required for the 1.x license.
2. Evaluation
Before activation, FFideo permits up to five successfully committed file exports. Failed, cancelled, incompatible, skipped, or discarded conversions do not consume an evaluation export. Circumventing the evaluation limit is not authorized.
3. Checkout and Merchant of Record
For a purchase completed through the configured FFideo checkout, Lemon Squeezy acts as Merchant of Record. It processes the order, payment, applicable transaction taxes, refunds, and chargebacks under its buyer terms and privacy notice. This EULA governs use of the FFideo software; it does not govern Lemon Squeezy's checkout service.
The final Lemon Squeezy product configuration will control purchase confirmation and license-key delivery. This site does not claim automatic account creation, license-key import, activation, or refund processing.
4. Restrictions
Except where mandatory law permits otherwise, the user may not redistribute, rent, lease, sublicense, sell access to, or make FFideo available as a shared organizational license; remove proprietary notices; or reverse engineer the proprietary FFideo application. A manual license transfer may be approved by support at the licensor's discretion.
5. Open-source components
The proprietary restrictions in this agreement do not apply to FFmpeg, FFprobe, LAME, or any other open-source component included with FFideo. Those components remain governed solely by their own license texts and notices. Nothing in this agreement reduces rights granted by those licenses. Corresponding source and build materials accompany the release as described in SOURCE-OFFER.txt.
6. User files and acceptable use
The user retains ownership of input and output files and is responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to process them. FFideo must not be used to violate law or third-party rights.
7. Availability and warranty
FFideo is provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, the licensor disclaims implied warranties and does not guarantee compatibility with every codec, file, device, future macOS version, or third-party service. Mandatory consumer rights are not excluded.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, the licensor is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss. Any aggregate liability cap, exclusions, and jurisdiction-specific consumer carve-outs require final legal review before publication.
9. Termination
The license ends if the user materially breaches this agreement and does not cure the breach when cure is required. Termination does not alter the independent open-source licenses. Sections intended by their nature to survive remain effective.
10. Updates and contact
The licensor may update this agreement for future releases. The applicable version and support contact must be displayed before purchase or activation.
